HUCUS was founded in the garden of the son of a Ukrainian priest in America

7/1/22, 9:00 PM

In 2022, HUCUS was established as an American non-profit foundation by representatives of American, Ukrainian, Jewish, and Polish communities to respond to the brutal war in Ukraine and provide aid to those affected.

Our team's first and most significant project is a mutual transatlantic logistics initiative aimed at delivering humanitarian aid to Ukraine. This project, facilitated by the Help Ukraine Center USA, involves a collaboration between the Help Ukraine Center in Poland and HUCUS in the United States. The primary goal of this initiative is to create a unique opportunity for humanitarian organizations to ship all aid cargo to crisis regions free of charge, ensuring sustained support for people during the war.

In addition to our logistics project, we have developed a remarkable Art and Development program to support and promote Ukrainian heritage and foster connections with modern and contemporary culture. This program enriches American society by celebrating Ukrainian heritage and Eastern European traditions, thereby building strong friendships and cultural connections. Equally important is our information program, which aims to combat propaganda and support democracy in Eastern European countries through collaborative efforts.

HUCUS brings together a diverse community of young professionals, businesses, non-profit organizations, logistics companies, volunteers, media, and diplomats, all united in their support for the people of Ukraine and beyond.

Our mission is to create opportunities for humanitarian aid, democracy, accurate information, and art to flourish in post-war economies, developing countries, and needy communities.
